Nicole Ness, MSW, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (MN)

Nicole Ness received her undergraduate degree in May, 2002 in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She earned her masters degree in social work in 2020 from Boston University. She completed her MSW internship at Solutions. Ms. Ness is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota.

Ms. Ness joined Solutions in 2011 as the Director of the Corporate Foster Care program. She joined the Outpatient team in 2019 when she began her clinical training. Prior to joining Solutions, Ms. Ness worked in administration in the Early Childhood field. She was with St. David’s Center for Child and Family Development in Minnetonka for five years, in their Early Childhood Education program. She also worked for two years as the Early Childhood Education Coordinator at Clay Wilkin Head Start in Moorhead.

Ms. Ness has been trained in a number of evidence-based practices, including Attachment and Bio-behavioral Catch-up (ABC); Bounceback; Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS); Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT); Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT); Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP); Incredible Years; and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She has extensive experience and expertise working with young children and school-age children and their parents/families, though also enjoys working with adolescents and adults, with a focus on treatment of trauma.

Ms. Ness finds it meaningful that her work supports something bigger than herself, and giving clients a sense of hope that change is possible. She values relationships in her work, developing trust, integrity and good will. In her personal time, Ms. Ness enjoys watching hockey, spending time with her family, lake time in the summer, and traveling.
