Mickenna Ansell, MS, Psychology Intern

Mickenna Ansell received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2020 and her master's degree in counseling psychology from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2022.  She is currently a psychology intern at Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Professionals in Detroit Lakes, completing her training as part of her doctoral program in Counseling Psychology at Carlow University.

Mickenna has experience with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, but has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and families in community mental health. She aims to facilitate an individualistic, empathetic, and strength-focused therapeutic environment. Her clinical approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, and she utilizes interventions best suited to each client.

Outside of work, Mickenna enjoys watching movies, reading fiction novels, and trying new baking recipes.
