Megan Bjorge, M.A., Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Megan Bjorge earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. In 2021, she earned her Master of Arts in Psychological Science with a specialty in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth. During her graduate studies, she completed her clinical internship at the Human Development Center in Cloquet, MN, providing supervised outpatient counseling to a diverse range of individuals. Megan joined Solutions as a clinical trainee in 2021 and earned her license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in 2023. She proudly serves her community through Solutions by providing outpatient and CTSS individual and family therapy. She provides psychotherapy for individuals and families and primarily serves children ages 0-5, school-age children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, she completes Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluations (CMDEs) for AIM clinic at the Sartell Solutions office.
Megan has experience with conducting thorough clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each individual, and working with individuals who have a diverse array of needs, including those with developmental disabilities, history of traumatic experiences, and different multicultural backgrounds. Megan is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Minnesota Psychological Association, Division of Clinical Psychology (Div. 12), the Association for Psychological Science, and Autism Speaks.
Megan has specific training and certification in the following therapies: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Incredible Years parent programs, the Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) framework, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) framework. She has additional training in: assessing and treating children ages 0-5 (DC: 0-5) and neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD); evidence-based practices such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, exposure and response prevention (ERP), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and family systems; and specialty areas such as grief, trauma (specifically emotional abuse), and gender and non-binary populations.
Megan places a high value on enhancing each individual’s strengths and supporting individuals by equipping them with tools and skills for success. She values the therapeutic relationship and prioritizes honesty, integrity, and communication. Megan adopts a person-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that addressing challenges that come up in a person’s life requires a comprehensive perspective, including biological, social, and psychological factors.
In her free time, Megan enjoys exploring and travelling, completing home projects, playing with her dog, spending time with her family, and getting out into nature.
