Kayla Lawrence, MSW, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (MN)

Kayla Lawrence received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University – Moorhead in 2014 and her Masters of Social Work from University of North Dakota in 2015. She started with Solutions in 2015 as a Mental Health Practitioner and has been an Outpatient and Children’s Day Treatment Therapist since 2016. She currently works in the Solutions Moorhead office but also provides mental health services in Moorhead elementary schools and in-home settings. Ms. Lawrence has training in a number of evidence-based practices including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools CBITS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CAMS Suicide Prevention Model, and Incredible Years. Ms. Lawrence primarily provides services to families with elementary-age children, particularly children with trauma-related disorders, anxiety, and/or behavioral disorders. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and traveling. She truly enjoys working with children and their families and watching as children and parents implement new skills to improve their relationships and their mental health symptoms. Her aim is to help children and parents feel happy, confident, and empowered to take on all of life’s challenges.
