Jordan Solheim-Johnson graduated from St. Catherine University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology. In 2020, she earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP) from North Dakota State University. She interned at Stellher Human Services in Detroit Lakes, gaining experience in various settings, including their crisis stabilization home, on-call crisis team, and providing CTSS therapy at Detroit Lakes High School.
She is trained in several evidence-based practices (EBPs), including EMDR, TFCBT, CIBS (Collaborative Intensive Bridging Services), and MST (Multisystemic Therapy). Her specialties include complex trauma, working with teenagers, and working with families.
Jordan is experienced in serving teenagers, ages 13-17, struggling with trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, and depression. She also has experience working with adult women seeking empowerment, self-love, and belonging. She finds that watching her clients grow and achieve small successes over time is the best part of being a therapist. She is incredibly grateful that her clients allow her to be a part of their life journey, considering it a privilege to hear their stories. She believes that every client is the expert in their own life, and that change is possible for everyone.
In her personal time, Jordan enjoys spending time in nature with her two beautiful dogs, her husband, and family. They enjoy golfing, walking around the lake, biking, and engaging in any form of competitive sports!
