Jami Bobby, M.S., Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MN)

Jami Bobby graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in History and Women’s Studies in 2008, then went on to complete her master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy in 2012. She completed a year of internship at the NDSU community clinic, and did externships at Luther Hall and the River’s Edge School Day Program in Fargo. Jami is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Minnesota. She joined Solutions in September, 2022.

Prior to coming to Solutions, Ms. Bobby worked in a high intensity residential chemical dependency treatment program. She also worked at a Rule 29 clinic in Bemidji in several departments. She was on the crisis team, worked in elementary schools, conducted outpatient therapy, worked with sex offenders and ran a domestic violence group. She then transitioned to work at a locked inpatient chemical dependency unit (CARE). Ms. Bobby has had experience working at an IRTS facility, initially as a Mental Health Professional, and later as Director.

Ms. Bobby has been trained in Motivational Interviewing, in the Duluth Model of domestic violence treatment, and in Zero Suicide. She was recently trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She specializes in co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders, couples therapy, violence in relationships, and personality disorders. She is a member of the Minnesota Association of Marriage & Family Therapists. Ms. Bobby fines it meaningful to see change in her clients, and she values honesty, authenticity, and humor in these relationships.
