Carolyn Meske earned her Master of Science in Child Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University in 1990, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. She also completed her Bachelor of Science at NDSU. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Minnesota and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in North Dakota.

Mrs. Meske holds several certifications, including International Certification in Critical Incident Stress Management and designation as a Qualified Neutral in the State of Minnesota. She is also certified as an Early Neutral Evaluation Specialist and is a co-founder of the Co-Parenting Therapy Program at Solutions. Additionally, she is a board-certified supervisor for the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and an approved supervisor for both the North Dakota Board of Counselor Examiners and the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.

Before joining Solutions in 2004, Mrs. Meske worked in both clinical and administrative roles at The Village Family Service Center in Moorhead, Fargo, and Grand Forks, as well as at Lakeland Mental Health Center in Moorhead. She currently serves as the Director of Outpatient Services at Solutions, overseeing all outpatient programming along with intake and medical records processes. She also maintains a part‑time clinical practice and specializes in high‑conflict divorce and co‑parenting, Early Neutral Evaluation, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, and mediation as a qualified neutral in Minnesota. She is committed to providing couples and marital therapy, treating anxiety disorders, including obsessive‑compulsive disorder and post‑traumatic stress disorder; and supporting military personnel, veterans, and their families.

Mrs. Meske has extensive training in a wide range of Evidence‑Based Practices, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT‑I), and Critical Incident Stress Management/Debriefing. She has also received specialized training in working with military, law enforcement, and first‑responder populations. Her clinical areas of expertise include trauma and PTSD, anxiety disorders, mood and depression‑related issues, and advanced trauma‑focused interventions such as ART.

She enjoys working with adults and older adolescents and has a particular passion for serving military members, law enforcement officers, and first responders. Mrs. Meske finds deep meaning in witnessing the profound improvements clients can experience - especially with cutting‑edge treatments like ART, where significant progress often occurs in just a few sessions. She considers it a privilege to be entrusted with clients’ most painful experiences and finds great reward in seeing them regain joy, stability, and confidence.

Mrs. Meske values meeting clients exactly where they are and working at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for them. She believes transparency, honesty, and patience are essential in building a strong therapeutic relationship. Understanding how difficult it can be to seek help, she prioritizes privacy, comfort, and a supportive environment to ensure clients feel free to fully engage in their healing.

Mrs. Meske is an active member of the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and North Dakota Family‑Based Services. She finds great meaning in offering hope to those struggling with mental health challenges, supporting meaningful relationship change, and helping conflicted parents adopt healthier behaviors that positively impact their children. She prioritizes neutrality when working with highly conflicted parents to foster cooperative co‑parenting dynamics.

In her free time, Mrs. Meske enjoys spending time at the lakes, walking, baking, and crafting. She is also actively involved in volunteer and committee work at her church.
