Brittany Slama, LMSW

Brittany Slama is a Licensed Master Social Worker in North Dakota. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in 2020, followed by her Master of Social Work at MSUM in 2025.

Brittany completed her graduate internship at the Solutions Fargo outpatient office, where she discovered her passion for working with children and adolescents. Before becoming a therapist, she worked at an assisted living home as a receptionist and at Essentia Health in mental health services. Since 2021, she has been part of the West Fargo BUILD program at Solutions, supporting youth with behavioral and emotional needs.

Her background working with children with behavioral challenges has laid a strong foundation for her expertise in emotional regulation, impulse control, and behavior management. She utilizes evidence-based, child-centered approaches, including cognitive behavioral techniques, and is preparing to begin training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Brittany especially enjoys working with children who struggle with emotional regulation. She finds fulfillment in helping them learn to express themselves in healthy ways and watching their growth over time. She finds deep meaning in helping children feel seen, heard, and safe, and takes great reward in watching them grow emotionally, build confidence, and improve their relationships.

Brittany prioritizes empathy, trust, and consistency, and believes that building a safe, supportive relationship is key to helping children feel understood and capable of growth.
