Before joining Solutions, Dr. Mangold gained extensive clinical experience through her practicum at the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center in Fargo, her APA internship at Washburn, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Sonder Behavioral Health and Wellness in Minnetonka. Most recently, she worked as a licensed psychologist at the Sanford Traumatic Stress Treatment Center and also operated a private practice.
Dr. Mangold specializes in the treatment of traumatic stress across the lifespan and ADHD evaluations. She is extensively trained in evidence-based practices including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and its applications for commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking, telehealth, intellectual and developmental disabilities, parental substance misuse, complex trauma, young children, LGBTQIA+ populations, Hispanic/Latino families, group settings, and Native American communities. She is also trained in the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), Alternatives for Families – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT), Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS), Problematic Sexual Behavior – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET).
While Dr. Mangold enjoys supporting individuals of all ages, she has a particular passion for working with children under the age of six who have experienced trauma. Her approach emphasizes engagement, individualized care, and accessibility, especially for families in rural areas. She tailors treatment using interactive tools, art, games, and even telehealth kits to make each session meaningful and effective.
Dr. Mangold finds the most rewarding aspect of her work to be the trusting, empathetic relationships she builds with her clients, and the opportunity to help them “get their magic back.”
She is deeply committed to delivering research-based, high-quality care and ensuring that all individuals—regardless of age or geography—have access to the mental health services they deserve.
