Mr. Knutson has worked in the counseling field for Minnesota State University Moorhead, Upward Bound, Lutheran Social Services, St. Cloud Hospital and Lakeland Mental Health. His approach is very relationship oriented as well as cognitive-behavioral. His areas of strength are working with children, adults and families with mood, anxiety, anger, oppositional and attention problems. He uses relaxation, hypnosis, neurofeedback, animals, play therapy and art as ways to help people grow. Mr. Knutson works toward decreasing problem areas and the development of strengths in people.
Professional Background
Mr. Knutson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Student Personnel (1977) and Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Development (1991) from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is licensed in Minnesota as a Psychologist and is active in the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
