Psychologist
Areas of Practice/Specialties Dr. Bakken has a general psychological practice, which includes assessment and treatment of metal health needs for adults and children. Dr. Bakken uses a cognitive-behavioral approach to treat conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, and behavioral disturbances. She also has expertise in developmental disabilities, behavioral consultation, geriatrics and parenting evaluations.
Clinical Training/Certification Dr. Bakken received her undergraduate degree from Concordia College and was awarded a Master of Science degree in Behavioral Therapy from North Dakota State University. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota and completed an internship at the Norfolk Regional Center in Nebraska . Dr. Bakken has worked for 15 years in the Fargo-Moorhead community, is licensed in both North Dakota and Minnesota and is on the National Register for Health Service Providers in Psychology. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Minnesota Psychological Association, the American College of Forensic Examiners and is Diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Specialties.
