RULE 29 LICENSED

What does Rule 29 Licensed mean?

It means that SOLUTIONS, Inc. is approved by the Department of Human Services in Minnesota to receive insurance reimbursement. In order to be Rule 29 Licensed, SOLUTIONS, Inc. had to meet standards for staffing, treatment process, and quality assurance. Rule 29 is an approval of treatment mechanisms and quality assurance mechanisms. Approval means that a multidisciplinary mental health center has staff and procedures which make the the the center capable of providing high quality services in the area of mental or nervous diagnosis, consultation, and treatment.

Approved Mental Health Centers and Clinics must have:
 

A multidisciplinary team of professional staff employed or under contract to the center.

 
A written treatment plan for each client, which includes client history, treatment goals, statement of diagnosis, and treatment strategy.  
Access to hospital admission.  
Ongoing consultation among all members of the mutldisciplinary team.  
Ongoing availability of all members of the multidisciplinary team.  
Twice monthly multidisciplinary consultation meetings, for purposes of peer consultation and treatment plan development, to conduct case review andfor in depth case discussion; written minutes to be kept at clinic for at least three years.  
Continuing education for each professional staff.  
An internal utilization review plan and procedures.  
A peer review plan and procedures.  

Staff supervision.

 
Secure procedures for the storage and use of client information and minutes of consultation meetings to ensure client privacy.
