Registered Nurse

JOB SUMMARY: To provide nursing consultation to clients of SOLUTIONS, Inc., in order to support clients in community settings.  Consultation includes working with and training staff for proper medication administration and overall health management of clients.


  • Must be a Registered Nurse who is licensed or certified to practice in the state of Minnesota.

  • Must be trained to teach staff proper medication administration.

  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to complete documentation in a timely manner.

  • Must pass a comprehensive Criminal Background check.


Nursing responsibilities include:

  • Provide medication administration training for residential staff as requested.

  • Oversee the residential client medications on a weekly basis.

  • Review residential clients MAR’s on a weekly basis.

  • Oversee residential client’s medication status and reorder as needed.

  • Oversee residential client medical appointments and follow up with recommended changes by the physician.

  • Monitor residential clients for side effects or adverse reactions to medication, and report these to the physician.

  • Provide Medication Education as needed for clients receiving Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS).

  • Serve as a staff consultant for client illness or injury.

  • Assist in the development of appropriate protocols for client health monitoring.

  • Client rounds on a weekly basis.

  • Oversee or provide wound care training.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete documentation in keeping with policy.

  • Attend treatment team meetings as necessary.

  • Attend training and supervision meetings as scheduled.

  • Complete time and expense sheets monthly.

  • Attend residential supervisory meetings once a month.

  • Contribute to the development of agency policies and procedures as assigned.
